The challenge

The customer required prompt delivery of critical shipments to specific locations across a high-tech campus to meet demanding production deadlines. The absence of a central receiving and distribution center within the campus complicated the issue, leading to packages languishing on the dock for hours—or even days—before reaching their intended destinations.

The delays became more problematic on weekends when "down machine" parts arrived on a Saturday, but remained untouched until Monday. This further stalled production and jeopardised commitments to customers. Timely, precise delivery was not just a matter of convenience but crucial to maintaining operational continuity and upholding their promise of reliability.

The solution

Quick implemented a reliable delivery system to ensure parts reached their final destinations across a secure campus—fully compliant with the client’s strict protocols.

Drivers underwent background checks and safety training, receiving Vendor ID passes for building access. Deliveries followed detailed instructions, including desk coordinates and specific drop-off points.

At some locations, drivers used lockboxes with log sheets to maintain chain of custody; in others, packages were delivered directly to cleanrooms through pass-through windows.

This streamlined process saved cleanroom technicians time, improved production efficiency, and helped increase output and profitability.
